Barnes MetalCrafters was established in the 1940s as a duct shop to support the local tobacco industry. The business grew and also supported the growth of Wilson housing.
Tim Martin acquired the fabrication business in the mid-1990s, and for several decades has been known in Wilson and Eastern North Carolina for producing quality custom fabrications for many different industries. The company outgrew its original location on Walnut Street and in 2019, built and relocated to a 25,000 square foot facility in the Hackney Industrial Park.

Duties/Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to take on the assistance of managing a company within our organization, a subset of Barnes Metalcrafters. That company is Mountains2Metal, an aftermarket truck accessories business. Started in 2013 and has grown to a point that it is managed as a full-time position. We are growing and should see 30 to 40 percent growth this year.
Supervisory: Two direct reports (Front Office Assistant/M2M Production), would report to the Product designer and to the owner.
Front Office (5 to 10% time)
Monitors activities of front office and assists as required. Acts as a council to office assistance. As the need arises. Would stand in her absence to do payroll etc. (would be trained)
Mountains2Metal (90% of time)
Primary duties will be to oversee this portion of the company. Our primary focus at this time is the development of new products for the Ford Bronco introduced to the market in the fall of 2021.
Assist with new Products introductions
Keeping track of inventories in amazon, eBay, and M2M websites, updating as required.
Social Media, imputing photos dialog to keep us active on these sites.

Requirements and Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting software
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Able to concentrate on multiple problems and tasks at once
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record preferred
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects
Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
Knowledge of website working and E-Commerce is a plus.
Welder/Fabricator
The job will require the welder to be versed in TIG and MIG welding of Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel products. Finishing is required to produce pharmaceutical-style welds. Person must be able to read prints and work with others in a moderate pace environment. Day shift, air-conditioned workspace. The pay rate is 20.00 to 24.00 per hour.
